Serb Unity Congress Summer Camp in Serbia

Serbian Unity Congress Serbia, in cooperation with monastery Studenica and Studenica Foundation from America and with support of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Bishop Jovan from Sumadia organizes summer camps in Serbia, in July and August, for students aged 14-18. years.

Children will learn the Serbian language, history and culture, visit the tourist attractions of Serbia, have workshops with famous athletes and personalities from the public sphere.

Camps are organized during 1-14. and July 1-14. August. Capacity is 30-50 students per group.

Reservations will be taken as they arrive and will be closed once the total reaches 50.

Karl Malden (born Mladen George Sekulovich; Serbian Cyrillic: Младен Ђорђе Секуловић; March 22, 1912 – July 1, 2009) is an Oscar-winning American actor, starring in such films as A Streetcar Named Desire and On the Waterfront, with the late Marlon Brando. He also starred in another blockbuster movie, Patton, before his best-known role, playing Lt. Mike Stone on the popular 1970s crime drama, The Streets of San Francisco. He also played Archie Lee Meighan in Baby Doll and as Zebulon Prescott in How the West Was Won both starring Carroll Baker.

The Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Western America is pleased to announce the publication of a beautiful pocket-size, full-color, English-language Prayer Book, which has been compiled and designed by our newly enthroned His Grace, Bishop Maxim, and printed in Serbia. The book contains prayers commonly used by Orthodox Christians, lists of Scriptural Commandments, and brief articles on the precepts of Faith, proper conduct in church, and the meaning and practice of prayer. It is adorned with striking icons and illustrations by Fr. Stamatis Skliris, a parish priest in Athens who is renowned as an iconographer and as a writer and lecturer on Byzantine iconography. Full-color on coated stock throughout, 36 pages, 3¾" × 5½" format, paperback, saddle-stitched.
